In Studio Workshop i want to share the process of image making. It's the painterly action itself. The "becoming" of the painting, step by step. From the first image, where we see a plywood almost empty, with only a base drawing and some shadows, to the last image, where we see the painting in its complete form. We are able to witness the process of the painting being painted, Layer after layer, idea following an idea, the process slowly unfolds its happening and the painting completes itself before our eyes.
Thus, through the happening of the painterly process, we may witness the stages of its artistic development. We may also later trace the origin of each painted idea within the fabric of the painting's production, and have a conversation about our feelings for it. All as a part of our active emancipated spectatorship, a part of our enlightened experience of art.
